Tuberculosis is a serious, progressive, communicable disease. There may be no symptoms, particularly in the early stages of the disease.
The Mantoux tuberculin skin test (or TST) is a standard method of determining whether a person is or has been infected with this bacteria.
This video demonstrates the technique for administering the skin test and reading the results. Using graphics, models and live patients, standard procedures are shown.
Included is the "60-Second Tuberculin Test."
