Introduction to Surgical Nursing Multimedia CD

Surgical Nursing encompasses all elements in the scientific care of surgical patients.

The surgical nurse first establishes a meaningful, therapeutic relationship, enabling the provision of individualized care. Then, the nurse provides the perioperative nursing care that is required for the safest possible and most favorable surgical outcome.

It includes:

--Printable copies of "Nursing Care of the Surgical Patient" and "Scrub, Gown, and Glove Procedures."

--Almost 300 detailed line drawings, graphics, and photographs.

--20 shorter videos demonstrating different surgical nursing skills.

--2 longer videos, showing a proper procedure for scrubbing in to surgery, and proper use of personal protective equipment.

--Two self-assessment post-tests, with correct answers provided.
