Insert and Remove a Nasogastric Tube (Download)

Nasogastric suction is frequently-used, valuable technique for decompressing the stomach contents.

Employed following serious trauma, or with intestinal obstruction this medically useful procedure can provide helpful diagnostic information and sometimes assist in averting the need for surgery.

This video was produced by the US Army in 1993 as a training aid for their physicians, nurses, medics, EMTs, and other medical personnel who might be called upon to place a nasogastric tube.
