A simple office procedure, hymenotomy, usually solves this problem. This 5-minute video uses models and live patients to demonstrate the problem of incompletely ruptured hymen and the surgical procedure to correct it. Vulvar biopsy can quickly and nearly painlessly lead to the correct diagnosis when treating women with persistent vulvar itching, pain, or a suspicious lesion. This 5-minute video demonstrates one technique for performing a vulva biopsy, using vulvoscopy to identify the biopsy site, local anesthetic, and a Keys biopsy punch to obtain the specimen. Microscopic wet mount is an effective way to medically evaluate a patient with vaginal discharge. This 5-minute video takes you step-by-step through the process of checking the vulva, obtaining a specimen from the vagina, and preparing the microscope slides. Still images and video demonstrate the microscopic findings of monilia (yeast), trichomonas, and bacterial vaginosis. Each high-resolution video shows the procedure in detail, demonstrating on actual patients the steps to follow.
