While most women’s healthcare in military or veterans settings is the same as in civilian settings, there are some differences. This collection deals with both aspects of women’s health care. The DVDs contain eight essential 5-minute videos demonstrating important basic exam techniques, including modifications necessary because of physical injuries, disabilities, or other special circumstances. These videos are appropriate for primary care providers, both for initial training as well as refresher training. The Military Obstetrics & Gynecology Multimedia CD is considered the standard textbook for women’s healthcare among the World’s Armed Forces, and I believe it is useful, by extension, to Military Veterans healthcare settings. This CD contains an additional 32 training videos, text, images, and manuals essential for the fully capable provider. The CD is designed for use on an IBM compatible computer using Windows 98SE or above, a video player with sound capability, plus a pdf reader. The DVD+Rs should play well on any DVD player of contemporary manufacture. |
