The Pelvic Exam Variations video demonstrates how to perform a gynecologic pelvic exam when the patient cannot be in the standard exam posture, using modifications of standard equipment to better fit the patient. Alternative advanced techniques may utilize ultrasound for better pelvic exam evaluation. The 5-minute Diaphragm Fitting video demonstrates how to fit a contraceptive diaphragm, using pelvic examination, bimanual exam, estimating diaphragm size with the index finger, and adjusting the size with fitting rings. An actual fitting is shown, with the patient demonstrating her ability to insert, withdraw and check the position of the diaphragm. The 5-minute IUD Insertion video demonstrates how to insert and remove intrauterine devices (IUDs) for contraception. Several IUDs are shown on live patients and models for illustration purposes. Each high-resolution video shows the procedure in detail, demonstrating on actual patients the steps to follow. The DVD is provided in DVD+R format, making it playable on most computers with DVD capability, and on most set-top DVD players manufactured within the last few years.
